Candle Care
We want you to get the most out of our candles as they are intended to be enjoyed, here are some tip for safety and optimal performance:
Trim your wick to 1/4 of an inch before EVERY USE, I cannot express this enough - It will help create an optimal safe burn and eliminate excessive soot (If you see black build-up around the rim of your candle)- Yes, I am speaking to you- Trim that wick.
If you do not have a wick trimmer; You can TRIM YOU WICK - By using your fingers or a napkin and pinching the burnt tip of the UNLIT cooled candle wick. You are free to burn your candle afterwards. (If you have a really high burning flame, this would be an indication that you need to trim your wick)
During your first burn of your candle, allow your candle to burn for 2- 4 hours to create a full melt pool (the top layer of wax is melted all the way to the side of the jar) This will eliminate tunneling and prolong your candle life.
SAFETY: Do not leave candle unattended, burn for more that 4 hours at a time, ensure that your candle is free of debris and not near a drafty window or air source. Place candle of a level, non flammable surface
I know that you are loving your candle and want to keep burning but please do not burn the candle past the wick holder (silver metal piece at the bottom of the jar. Once the wax has reached this point, it is time to reorder DO NOT BURN once your have reach 1/4 inch of wax left.
Ensure that candle is fully extinguishing when done using. No flame does not necessarily mean the candle is completely extinguished.
Wax Melts Care
To use your wax melts you will need an wax warmer
Do not leave unattended in reach of children or pet- The wax is very hot
Do not add water to your warmer
Do not leave warmer on for extended periods of time ( I recommend no more than 3 hours)
Do not place warmer of uneven flammable surface
Do not pour melted wax down your drain- it will clog.
To clean your wax warmer, take a paper towel and wipe the area clean.
